Hm - summer seems to be affecting my proofreading! At least that is what I will tell the grammar-and-spelling police.

For palaces or manors, you might want to explore the forest level of Antiquity and the ground-level builds in Antiquity Heights (Mont Saint Bruno) and Antiquity Yucatan (Loire) where you will see 18th century and some older works by our architectural team of WiseboyQC, Gaianed di Cremona, Jacon Cortes and Crotian, all of whom can be approached regarding purchases if some particular work or style meets with your favour. WiseboyQC (Louis-Philippe d'Amblise) follows a courtly French style and has created satisfying replicas of real-life chateaux in Loire and over several sims on the forest level; Gaianed's style, found in and in the forest above Antiquity Heights, is flamboyantly Baroque and Rococo with occasional Medieval incursions (unfortunately his medieval monastery is not razzed at present); Jacon has recreated the renaissance-period Chateau de Chenonceau with authentic textures from the original, an amazing piece of work at sea level in Loire, and is almost finished a new build of Buckingham House; and Crotian is responsible for sea-level colonial architecture in our southern sailing sims, and for some solid British-inspired manorial work over Dominica on the forest level.
Gaianed has a small 18th century furniture shop on the lower level in Mont Saint Bruno. Low-prim, low-price furnishings of the 18th and 19th centuries designed by several Antiquity builders can also be found at the Antiquity Community Emporium, inworld within the Texas Capitol and online in Marketplace.

I do love wearing a polonaise - so nice to know my skirts won't be sweeping up quite all of the dirt in the garden!

New Edwardian Shop! Free Gowns at SL11B! New Regency Bridal Gown! - Twelfth Night Designs
Marketplace Archive ** CLOSED **
The wedding gown is divine, Twelfth, well worth the care you've put into it. And it occurs to me that without the veil, it is very suitable for other formal events - a presentation at court, perhaps.

As noted above, the Revolution was not really noted for architectural creation or concern; in general it merely re-purposed what the Ancien Rgime had created. People continued to build but did not revolutionize style in any deep way other than perhaps reducing the expense of ornament and of course avoiding the construction of new churches (in fact quite a few historic churches and abbeys were demolished, and formerly royal buildings such as the Louvre transformed into museums to preserve the dislocated art that resulted).
If you want a few very good rococo structures to transform into Directoire offices, you could contact WiseboyQC (Louis-Philippe d'Amblise). For ordinary dwellings in La Cit, look for a mix of specialists in late Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque styles, as many of the arrondissements into which the revolutionary city Charter divided Paris had been standing for quite a while when the Revolution arrived. Outside of Paris, of course, eclecticism from several centuries will also be the rule.

Not only a matter of money - I like a good part of my inventory, and have put considerable thought into key parts of it. I also abhor waste. LL really does need to find ways of assisting migrants in any transition to the new platform.
On the other hand, I am hoping, very much, that use of the "cloud" will make the virtual world more accessible to people with budgets too limited for constant upgrades. The more genuinely democratic the access to a high level of functionality within the virtual world, the better.

Edwardian Gowns for Summer! Twelfth Night Designs

The SL11B Celebration and Blue Tea gowns have already become two of my favourites, Twelfth, and my lord noticed them to the extent of asking me to pass on his compliments on both their elegance and authenticity. The vintage embroidered panels are absolutely exquisite; I find myself zooming up to the back of my Celebration gown just to admire the artistry. (The long underskirt is also a major attractant - it's good to be able to walk forward without showing off my legs!)

Of course, the higher-waisted items are able to do double-duty in the Empire/Regency periods. I do so enjoy it when the cycles of fashion allow my Lindens to stretch themselves!
