2935_discussions.jpg?width=750 I am so pleased to announce the "soft" opening of the Antiquity Community Emporium.

"The ache for home lives in all of us."--Maya Angelou

All items in this store were crafted exclusively for sale on the Marketplace (coming soon) and in our shop inworld to be offered for sale to help maintain our water sims.

The talented residents, merchants, and craftspeople who make their home in the charming RP sims of the Antiquity estate have come together to form the Antiquity Community Emporium in order to share our gracious lifestyle with the rest of the world by bringing you the finest in classic period clothing and accessories, elegant homes, and exquisite furnishings that belie their low-prim construction. We hope that being able to take part of our home with you, will help ease your "ache for home", wherever you live.

While the shop features mostly fine one-prim mesh furniture currently, new and different items are being added as they come in.

These are gorgeous pieces of furniture! ALL are LOW mesh wonders! It is so difficult to find low prim antique/period beds with detail. These beds are one to two prims depending on the style. The shop will be expanding to include clothing and other products soon. Great job Cathryn on these beautiful furnishings! Great start to this new venture for Antiquity. :))) I love the lounger! Sofas and beds... Oh my! :)))

Oh, dear, I had better hurry and finish those portraits of 18th century royalty, with choice of frame...

And I have a bed that needs replacing in my Mont Saint Bruno villa. I have been making do with a "mission" style that just does not suit the period or continent, because I could find nothing low-prim enough within both period and budget when I was furnishing. Playing with its textures helped, but did not do enough.

At the moment a bit hard to come across in Antiquity but they are in the domed Capitol building in Texas but it's worth the walk, they are really good pieces. The Emporium repesents what Antiquity is about and that is good karma, goodwill and hard work. I wish the builders the very best. Congrats Cathryn.

And I found the bed I needed! And its colours suit the room.

English and Spanish royals for the period 1700 to 1820 have now been framed, and I shall be working on French ones this evening. I hope to have the collection ready for the sales room by the weekend. There will be a choice of three frames for each portrait.
