Originally describing a turban-like, large headdress from the 15th century in Italy. It was a ring or rounded form rising up at the head, covering the hair of the wearer.

In Renaissance period and specially in Italy, feminine beauty was given by a high forehead, very light or almost absent eyebrows and what was called, Venetian blond hair (caramel), was very much appreciated.

Thanks Stormy. :) The Balto hat is adjustable so everyone can wear it well. What I do with SL hair is make a copy from the original and then adjust the copy hiding some locks inside the head. hug
