Originally describing a turban-like, large headdress from the 15th century in Italy. It was a ring or rounded form rising up at the head, covering the hair of the wearer.

In Renaissance period and specially in Italy, feminine beauty was given by a high forehead, very light or almost absent eyebrows and what was called, Venetian blond hair (caramel), was very much appreciated.

Thanks Stormy. The Balto hat is adjustable so everyone can wear it well. What I do with SL hair is make a copy from the original and then adjust the copy hiding some locks inside the head. hug
