Inspiration of this building is taken from a painting of Abraham Storck (1665 and onward). It is a totally imaginary building, of course adaptation have been made according to likings and also skills that have been developing over time.
A cooperation between Catherine and me, she does the texturing work while I started modelling it a long time ago. It was not our intention to make an exact copy, just to bring it to live and to our liking. The piece of work is coming in it's final phase. Only the mesh model is in second life for the time being, once completed we of course will set it up in all it's glory.
Very recent some wainscot panelling has been made, Catherine is texturing this part right now. Two more floors and ceiling and scripting of windows and doors and finally done. I do not dare to think of the number of hours we've spend on it. After that in between the finishing of Bellevue props, props and more props will have to be made to get a ambiance.
It always amazes me, the amount of work that goes into these masterpieces. First the meshing and then the texturing. It's a great idea to team-up to get it all done. Catherine's doing an excellent job
Thank you Tatiana, yes it's a lot of work to make those meshes. Making the model as such advances fast. It's all the other typical sl related things as LODs, getting it efficient etc etc that are extremely tedious to do. Team-up is the only way to get it advancing a bit, to do all by yourself is impossible. Catherine has been improving her skills a tremendously lot. It's a pleasure to be able to work together for both.
