Sanssouci Park Today
After an 11 hour train ride from Milano - dragging suitcase against heavy wind and rain in freezing temperature made it to my hotel in Potsdam last night.
Walked to the Park today and took this :D Think this must be my favorite place to visit. Spent most of the day walking the park grounds. Got caught in hail while on Ruinensberg Hill but luckily it was over quick and there were plenty of arches to shelter under.
I was worried about visiting in winter but really glad I did because I can see the terrain and retaining walls around the terrace. I can use what I saw today to get rid of the blocky prim terrain in the SL version when I get back :D
Also proud owner of a Frederick the Great statue - which I can hopefully use to model an SL version on.

Very exciting. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!
Very interesting read, you should think of writing a journal with your travels and planned updates for Sanssouci, it would be very nice to follow that process more closely.
Can't wait to see the renovations on the sim!
The original plan was to update as I was going because a lot of the places I was visiting because of what I learned through the SL historical community. But alas Roaming data costs bleeds you dry so I am rationing posts.
Makes sense. You can continue sharing when you get home. Checked in on your goats; they miss you but are well otherwise
