369_discussions.png?width=750 370_discussions.png?width=750 Throughout history rulers of nations have used imagery to convey royal prerogative and authority. Whether the depictions were in the form of royal crests, crowns, statuary, or paintings, the images were carefully designed to enhance the image of the ruler as a powerful authority. This exhibit traces the use of such images throughout history and from many regions of the world to show the poses, clothing, expressions and royal symbols that have been used to portray the power of the sovereign.

You are cordially invited to visit this new enthralling exhibition recently unveiled on Rocca Sorrentina's entry platform. Our sincere thanks to Monsieur Taunay for his time and efforts on the installation.

Extremely enjoyable, both for the educative aspect and for the opportunity to view M. Taunay's works, which are of the highest caliber.

A little hard on our poor beleaguered George III - but a delightful sociopolitical (and perhaps psychopolitical) study.

My lord and I are trying to decide where to display the gift, which deserves to be on view in drawing-rooms across the Historical sims; we agree entirely with Lady Hartfield and Prince Jacon on the matter of quality.
