Oh La Doleur (Oh the Sorrow) is a black Habit de Cour suitable for the mourning period at Versailles. I chose to incorporate a floral motif in the gown as a reminder that even though there is Death there is also Life to come after the mourning is over.

As I was writing it I wondered if it didnt come off as a bit pretentious sounding...but I can see people really got what I meant by my comment on the inspiration for the gown.

Or maybe I just like floral themes lol. (I do..a lot)
