So this weekend I had a person lets call her "C" (you know who you are) IM me to ask if I had anything "casual" at my shop.

When I started to think about it,I realized I didnt have too many gowns that could be labeled casual. And the one I did have was hidden away so carefully you think it was a hunt item.

So I made a decision- my Rocca Sorrentina shop will get a major reboot with more casual gowns.

And this is the first one :)

Yay! I love it :) I want to wear MANY more Anglaises and other styles. I love a beautiful Francaise, but there were other very pretty casual styles. I was watching "Marie Antoinette" again recently and was especially taken with a very informal style she was wearing at the Petite Trianon, but I don't even know what it's called! (wasn't the chemise with the wide sash, had some sort of over-dress) I can't wait to see more! :-)))

No, though I love that one!! We DO need more like this! It was in a scene where the King comes by the Trianon to see if MA would like to come back to the palace to greet the soldiers returning from America. I think Polignac in that scene has a dress similar, as well :)

Me? Thats not me. Its that impertinent nurse/mistress of the old conte di Loredan. Just because I had let her borrow the gown sometimes she insisted on being the model for it.
